Are you talking of Mwanza Province or Mwanza city? As far as I know, the population of Mwanza City and Metro - The second largest city in Tanzania, is around 700,000 people which is just above a half of Mombasa City (1.2M) and a fifth of Mombasa Metro (3.5M)Justs a heads up. No need for conjectures. Kampala technically is not on l. Victoria. Its about 24 miles or 30 min drive to the lake. True its in the area of l. Victoria.
