Police Kasarani, Nairobi County on Friday intercepted bhang with an estimated street value of over Ksh.8million.

According to Kasarani OCPD Peter Kimani, the bhang which was being transported in a petroleum tanker was concealed in 50kg packs.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the narcotics which originated from Moyale and destined for Kasarani made it through shortcuts.

The number plates on the oil tanker were also found to be fake.

Police further said the bhang was also to be distributed in Juja, Githurai and other parts of Nairobi

The driver and his companion are currently in custody and are helping police with investigations

Cannabis (marijuana) AKA Bangi au hii recipe ya wahindi Bhang

Bhang (Hindi: भांग) is an edible preparation of cannabis originating from the Indian subcontinent. It has been used in food and drink as early as 1000 BCE in ancient India.[2] Bhang is traditionally distributed during the spring festival of Holi.[3][4] Bhang is mainly used in Bhang shops, which sell the cannabis-infused Indian drinks bhang lassi and bhang thandai.

Legalize it.

How is industrial processed alcohol and cigarettes legal and marijuana is not?

Not a user but the double standard seems arbitrary rather than scientific
