Fundraising Message for Construction of Skills Development Centre for Disadvantaged Youths
Dear Esteemed Friend,
Today is unique for Tanzania Agricultural Modernization Association (TAMA) and its stakeholders. It is the day and unique week to reach more friends like you with a message to share our successes, seek your compassion and give something to the poor. It is an online fundraising week to support vulnerable youths.
Move on with me! When someone in a community is struggling, it's human nature to lend a hand. TAMA is a national registered not for profit organization in Tanzania, with vision to transform peasants into farmers. We have made progress to achieve this whereby over 1,500 peasant groups are registered, 20,000 smallholder farmers empowered on good agricultural practices, improved food security, health and nutrition among malnourished families of women and children. For more information about TAMA please click here: www.tamatz.org.
Over 80% Tanzanians live in rural areas and youths are struggling with unemployment and unable to make ends meet. TAMA has made significant progress to respond to this whereby, 34 disadvantaged youths (14-24 years) from Ngara district are undergoing free one year vocational training education at our rented centre, TAMA Skills Development Centre, through the support of U.S Embassy in Tanzania and other development partners.
This ensures more jobs, employment opportunities and self reliance for these youths over many years to come. For more information visit our site: www.tamatz.org/programs/vocational-skills-development/. The major challenge is insufficient space to offer vocational education for more disadvantaged Tanzanian youths. Our capacity to hire enough space is inadequate.
This is our compelling reason to why we appeal for your esteemed support through the Global Giving Open Challenge to run online soon from 16[SUP]th[/SUP] to 27[SUP]th[/SUP] March 2015. We are sure you are on our part to support these marginalized youths – the sons and daughters of our fellow poor smallholder farmers in Tanzania.
They really need our compassion and a caring heart to support and raise funds worth US$99,999 enough to construct vocational training centre whereby about 100 disadvantaged youths from all over Tanzania will be able to attend twelve months free vocational education year after year whereas TAMA and other partners are able to cover trainers' costs.
It is your time to support - the time to thank God through helping the poor and the disadvantaged. Feel free to donate any amount of money. It counts big!
