Lowassa's 'Chess' Move: A Brave Decision, A Game Changer and A Well Thought Out Plan By UKAWA

Big questions loom over us.

If UKAWA wins (meaning Lowasa goes to Ikulu) YES
, dictatorship of CCM ends and a new chapter is opened (God knows what we will get). It is a toss or as you put it - a CHESS MOVE. But I hope we will be heading for better progress.

If CCM wins (meaning Magufuli goes to Ikulu). Bummer!! Will we have opposition (parties) any more?

This is very precarious folks. But I guess people have already bitten the bullet, haven't they?

I agree with you we all need change. But do we know what we are getting?

I would like to hazard a change and maybe we may correct ourselves after 5 years BUT think about this:

While CCM may not have been that faithful wife who always kneels down while giving you your dinner (feminists will kill me here - hold your horses) is this the reason to divorce her and marry the new girl in town?

Maybe YES.
Maybe NO?

Oh! Fantastic!! Simply wonderful. I kind of had this gut feeling that we both are in the same arena 🙂.

Thank you so much my friend, please let me know what your views are afterwards!

Nietzsche.

CDM is introducing a huge snake to tame the rodents in its farm. The one million dollars question is how will CDM tame the snake once the rodents are finished.
That is the "detail" CDM needs to solve. The devil is in the details!

Very profound insight mkuu. Do you care to elaborate how this snake may eradicate the rodents?

A very incite full metaphor.

You got my vote mkuu. I guess great minds think alike?

I like your sense of optimism.

I believe the entrenched CCM cabal needs to be dismantled in order to open a new chapter in the progress and future of Tanzania.

What I don't know is whether the alternative (UKAWA) have the stuff to deliver the goods? They look pretty much disorganized (internally) right now and it worries me.

Just saying.

You are deep mkuu and I believe we think alike. That is exactly what has been in my mind since Hon. Lowasa jumped ship.

I was thinking "KULIKONI?" Do we all know what game is being played here and the rules of the game, or are we just cheer leaders?

THINK!!

...thanks mkuu, will check it out!

Kifyatu If I may mkuu...

We might not know what we're getting but as you have mentioned above people have already bitten the bullet and they're ready for some sort of change, or any sort of change to put the ruling party in line before they turn a country into a mornachical government. We're more than ready for something brand new!, and if the opposition wins, the nation will at least have a taste of a 'new wife'
And within 5 years we'll get to know their strength and weaknesses, the ruling party will learn a lesson, and wananchi will have power to bargain when it comes to choose who should lead our country.

Mkuu kui I couldn't have put it better myself. I agree with your assessment.

On another topic, I come from Tanga and for most of our regional languages the name KUI has a "not-so-flattering" meaning. What does your name mean?

"not - so- flattering" meaning...oh! no!, am in trouble....lol!
I meant to use Kiswahili word KIU, but then I decided to play around with words and came up with KUI, which is short of kikuyu name Wangui.
I'd like to know what it means in your language...

Nice one!

MK254 check this out, does the feeling somehow remind you of the past elections in your country?!

Girlie kui everything happening in Bongo has been giving me this nostalgic feeling. A nation on the verge of a rebirth, youths have registered in their millions, surpassing the targets, they have come out in large numbers forming up mammoth rallies.
Defections of notable leaders from ruling party, this whole thing is more like someone is reading out a script from Kenyan version of the happenings of the year 2002. Guys, enjoy the feeling and try not to be on the wrong side of history....

... MK254 l love this, 'A Nation On The Verge of a Rebirth'
It's perfect for a headline on the newspaper on top of the picture with a sea of people supporting Lowassa.

Trust me am loving every sec of this, at the same time am trying to believe that it's really happening.

In Tanga languages KUI means DOG. Sorry

By all standards Lowassa is likely to win presidency. My only concern is that those in power may not be ready to relinguish powers to the opposition.

What are you saying? Do you know something we don't? This sound like there is the possibility of use of force - like coup - God forbid. I hope you are wrong mkuu. Perish the thought.

Oh!, No!, that's really not flattering!, Should've sticked with the original :frown:

CCM has clung to the history of founding the Tanzania nation for too long. Times changed, calling for new tunes CCM continued to sing the nation founding song. It is the right time for them to sit out of power for sometime. Should they return to power they will have learned the songs of present times and probably will be a better party than now. This is history. I hope CCM has nothing to regret after ruling for 53 yrs until they forgot existence of other people. Bravo UKAWA. Change the history of this great nation in ruins after half a centure of CCM gross economic mismanagement.
