Lucky Dube: Miaka kumi(10) tangu auawe

Then he was not a rastafarian. Being a Rastafarian is about all those things. The main pillar is believing that Haile Selassie I is the almighty.

Yeah! According to your definition, he was not. By the way, he was a good believer of Shembe, local christian denomination.

Do you feel Irie?

That was not my definition. That's according to those that athere to the faith. But as you mentioned, he was definitely not a rastafarian.

Though, even Rastafarians don't believe Haile Selassie as a Might but more of a prophet or messiah, something he denied reiterating that he is a man.

Would be grateful if you can provide a source to support the allegations.

Bob Marley na Lucky Dube ni mtu na mjukuu wake msiwalinganishe please

In your citation under the heading "Leaders who shaped Rastafarian" there's a paragraph that says and I quote "Rastafarianism takes its name from its worship of Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia as the return of Christ". The key word here is WORSHIP.

Also many prominent Rastas including Bob Marley has been quoted stating that rastafarian is believing that Emperor H.S of Ethiopia is the incarnation of God.

Of course the Emperor H.S didn't declare himself to be God incarnation and said he was just a man. But that didn't mean that was the end of Rastafarian belief.

Nice observation! I initially thought it's from their doctrine
