The presidential candidate in Tanzania Zanzibar through Civic united front, Maalim Self has announced at press conference that his party have collected results from all polling stations and he won 200,007 against 178,363 votes of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) candidate, Dr Ali Mohammd Shein.
Maalim Seif urged Zanzibar electoral commission (ZEC) to announce the results to be official, also urged Dr. Shein to be a gentleman for a nation peace since Zanzibar already suffered hence he shouldn?t be a reason for Zanzibarians continue to suffer, citizen selection should be respected.
Since multiparty system introduced in Zanzibar CCM has been in power , the results of previous election between CCM and CUF always end up in small difference according to Zanzibar electoral Commission.
