Dwelling in the supernatural.

What is this all about?

Can we walk and live in the supernatural? The answer is yes if and only if the word of God dominates our hearts.

We shall only cite four examples to explain this phenomenon.

Enoch walked with God, and God took him and he was nowhere to be seen. Enoch was the first human who never tasted death and was taken to heaven.

Noah was the first man known to have made wine and drank it, after the Noah's floods. We know he undressed himself, and slept naked while he was drunk. His second son, Caanan, saw the nakedness of his and laughed, he reported the predicament of his father to his siblings who with great godly fear took a blanket and walking backwards went where their father was and covered his nakedness. When Noah woke up, he knew what his second son had humiliated him while he was asleep. Noah cursed Caanan, and blessed the other two sons who feared him. How did Noah knew what was happening while he was asleep?

In the third example has to do with Elisha the prophet who told his disciple Gehazi that his spirit was with him when he took the wages of bribes from the Syrian general whom Elisha had cured of leprosy. Elisha accursed Gehazi with the same leprosy from Neeman. How was Elisha's spirit be with Gehazi unless he was walking in the supernatural.

The fourth was Abraham knew how he would die while he was sleeping. How could Abraham knew that he would die in peace unless he was walking in the supernatural?

The scripture says the word of God is living, powerful and sharper than a two edged sword, piercing the division of soul and spirit, the bone and the marrow. And, it is the discerner of the thoughts and the intents of the hearts.

To walk in spirit is available to all of us if we saturate our hearts and minds with the word of God. Thereafter, we shall read and understand the mysteries beyond human carnal understanding.

Stay blessed, stay safe in the Lord Christ Jesus the Amen 🙏 for He cares for us.

FIRST WEEK OF ADVENT YEAR B

FIRST READING
The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him.”
ISAIAH 11: 1 - 10

On that day: There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots. And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. And his delight shall be in the fear of the LORD. He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide by what his ears hear; but with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall slay the wicked. Righteousness shall be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt of his loins. The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid, and the calf and the lion and the fatling together, and a little child shall lead them. The cow and the bear shall feed; their young shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. The sucking child shall play over the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder’s den. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. In that day the root of Jesse shall stand as an ensign to the peoples; him shall the nations seek, and his dwellings shall be glorious.

The Word of the Lord.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM
Psalm 72: 1 - 2, 7 - 8, 12 - 13, 17 (R.) 7

R/. In his days shall justice flourish, and great peace forever.

O God, give your judgement to the king,
to a king’s son your justice,
that he may judge your people in justice,
and your poor in right judgement. R/.

In his days shall justice flourish,
And great peace till the moon is no more.
He shall rule from sea to sea,
From the River to the bounds of the earth. R/.

For he shall save the needy when they cry,
the poor, and those who ate helpless.
He will have pity on the weak and the needy,
and save the lives of the needy. R/.

May his name endure forever,
his name continue like the sun.
Every tribe shall be blest in him,
All nations shall call him blessed. R/.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION

Alleluia.
Behold, our Lord will come with power, and enlighten the eyes of his servants.
Alleluia.

GOSPEL
“Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit.”
LUKE 10: 21 - 24

At that hour: Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, ‘I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to infants; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. All things have been delivered to me by my Father; and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and any one to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.” Then turning to the disciples he said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see what you see! For I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.”

Warren Buffett Says Poor People Waste Money On These 12 Things

Warren Buffett, one of the most successful investors in the world, has a reputation for his simple yet profound financial wisdom.

By addressing these common financial pitfalls, we can all make more informed financial decisions to ensure our money serves us well.

Neglecting Personal Development.

According to Buffett, the best investment one can make is in oneself. Enhancing skills and education can boost earning potential significantly. Knowledge and abilities are assets that no one can take away from you.

Relying on Credit Cards.

Credit cards can be convenient, but high interest rates can quickly overshadow any benefits if you don’t pay the full balance monthly. Buffett advises against needless spending that could lead to credit card debt.

Frequenting Bars and Pubs.

Spending on social activities like drinking at bars can add up. Opting for more affordable social gatherings, like home get-togethers, can help save significantly

Chasing the Latest Technology.

New gadgets may be tempting, but often, last year’s model serves just as well. Buffett himself has a history of sticking to functional rather than flashy tech. It’s important to assess if the latest upgrades genuinely provide added value for the price.

Overspending on Clothes.

Buffett, along with other billionaires, leans towards simplicity in his wardrobe. Choosing classic, durable clothes over flashy, expensive brands can result in significant savings..

Buying New Cars.

Cars are notorious for their rapid depreciation. Buffett recommends buying pre-owned cars and holding onto them for as long as they’re reliable, instead of falling for the allure of the new models.

Unused Gym Memberships

Buffett promotes an active lifestyle but cautions against unused gym memberships. Free or low-cost fitness routines can be just as effective if regularly practiced.

Unnecessary Subscription Services.

Subscription services, if not carefully monitored, can become a financial drain. Review these regularly and cancel those that don’t provide value.

Over-Reliance on Skincare Products.

Buffett advises against overusing or needlessly combining skincare products. Finding a simple and effective routine can save both money and your skin.

Regular Nights Out.

While socializing is essential, frequent nights out can be a significant expense. Opting for budget-friendly alternatives like home-cooked meals and movie nights can cut costs considerably.

Gambling.

While gambling might seem like a shortcut to wealth, Buffett emphasizes the importance of understanding the odds. He urges people to make financial decisions that favor their long-term wealth accumulation, not momentary thrills.

Smoking

Smoking, beyond its health implications, is a costly habit. Quitting can lead to a significant boost in your personal budget.
