Kutokana na kuongezeka kwa vurugu katika jiji la Kinshasa, nchini Jamhuri ya Kidemokrasia ya Kongo Ubalozi wa Marekani huko Kinshasa umewashauri raia wake kujificha na kisha kuondoka kwa usalama wakati patakapokuwa na njia za kibiashara.
Taarifa iliyotolewa na Ubalozi huoJanuari 28, 2025 imeeleza kuwa Uwanja wa N'Djili uliopo Kinshasa bado uko wazi kwa ndege za kibiashara.
Na raia wa Marekani wanaweza kuondoka pale tu wanapojisikia kuwa wanaweza kuwa usalama kufika uwanjani.
Katika kipindi hiki Marekani imeufunga ubalozi wake kwa umma hadi hapo itakapotangazwa vinginevyo.
Aidha taarifa imeeleza kuwa misaada ya dharura itatolewa kwa mawasiliano ya simu au barua pepe.

The U.S. Embassy in the Democratic Republic (DR) of Congo has recommended that U.S. citizens immediately seek asylum due to the increasing level of violence and crime in the cities, particularly in Goma and the republic's capital, Kinshasa, and leave the country as soon as possible while commercial flights are available.
A message to this effect was published on January 28 on the website of the U.S. diplomatic mission.
"Ndjili Airport in Kinshasa remains open for commercial flights. We recommend that U.S. citizens depart on commercial flights when they feel they can safely reach the airport. Please be aware that there may be roadblocks and protests on the road to the airport, which may affect travel time and safety," the publication said.
The American Embassy in Kinshasa is currently closed to the public. In case of emergency, American citizens were advised to contact the consular section by phone or email.
