Kampala Lord Mayor Elias Lukwago and Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) boss Jennifer Musisi are clashing over the forthcoming Kampala City Carnival, at which Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz, who is socialite Zari Hassan’s baby daddy.
Lukwago also questioned the decision by KCCA’s technical team to hire Diamond Platnumz at Shs108m to perform at the carnival, yet the proceeds from the event are supposed to renovate city schools in a poor state.
“I find it abnormal that you are paying all this money to a single artiste at the expense of our local artistes. I understand the event is being sponsored by the private sector, but why do we spend all this money to one musician?” Lukwago wondered.
