We tuned in to hear President Obama speak tonight about the state of the union tonight, and we couldn't help but notice Michelle Obama's adorable, pulled-together purple State of the Union dress (which, according to Mrs O, is by Isaac Mizrahi). The verdict? Elegant, fun, and of course, in her signature purple. Now we'll show you how to get it for less, in 4 easy steps:

Our picks to mimic her look tonight, so no matter which side of the political fence you tend to lean, we can all agree this first lady has serious style worth copying.

Step 1: This J.Crew cashmere tee feels soft, and is available in a ton of colors (though of course we're partial to Michelle Obama's royal purple).​
