NEWLY appointed Azam FC's head coach, Stewart Hall, will have his first test in charge when his side take on giants Young Africans in a friendly match at the Uhuru Stadium on Saturday.
The English coach has expressed desire to bring Simba and Young Africans Premier League domination to and end, and today's match will give him an opportunity to prove his case.
The two teams will use the match to gauge their squads for the forthcoming Mapinduzi Cup tournament and the Premier League, due to resume in its second round mid January, next year.
Hall confirmed that Azam will be without their key players who featured in the Cecafa Tusker Challenge Cup that climaxed in the city last Sunday.
The players include Mrisho Ngasa, Jabir Aziz, Erasto Nyoni and John Bocco who featured for the eventual champions Mainland's Kilimanjaro Stars.
Others are Agrrey Morris, Selemani Kassim who represented Zanzibar Heroes, Ibrahim Shikanda (Kenya) and goalkeeper Vladimir Niyonkulu (Burundi).
"I have given more time to rest and they would join us on Monday, next week," Hall said moments after being unveiled the new coach of Azam.
For Yanga fans, the match will avail them with an opportunity to see their new striker Davis Mwape from Zambia, as well as Juma Seif Dion who has been recruited from JKT Ruvu.
