Chelsea forward Florent Malouda wants to extend his stay with the club and hopes Carlo Ancelotti will remain as coach if he does.
Despite having a contract with the reigning champions until 2013, the 30-year-old hopes to add an extra year to that deal.

He also wants Ancelotti, who it has been rumoured could lose his job as the Blues face up to a trophyless season, to stay at Stamford Bridge with him.
"I just want to feel I am important at the club," he told the Daily Telegraph.
"Sometimes I don't feel so when I see in the media that the club are thinking of selling me, and I know I'm doing great.
"I want to be the Ryan Giggs of Chelsea! I want to extend my contract by one year until 2014. The club have been saying that because I am over 30, I have to wait until the last year of my contract to speak about an extension. Questions come into my mind. Do the club want me to stay?
"I am waiting for a signal from the club. I am much appreciated by the coach. But I need support from the club as well."
Ancelotti's position has come under scrutiny owing to another Champions League failure and the likelihood that Manchester United will take back their domestic crown.
Malouda, though, does not feel that should affect Ancelotti's position, believing European glory is still achievable under him.
"It's unfair," he added. "He's one of the greatest managers. He's good tactically. He's brought stability to the club, won the double at the first attempt.
"Because we are now out of three competitions and six points behind United, people outside are saying Chelsea should change everything. But all the big clubs have stability.
"Everybody seems to want to put pressure on Ancelotti but he's really cool. He knows the squad support him. That's the most important thing for him.
"I want Ancelotti to stay. Players come and go but the manager is the key. We can win the Champions League under him one day."

Basena ataka msaidizi Simba kutoka Uganda

Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou scored in the 89th minute on Saturday to give his team a 2-1 win over Tottenham that keeps alive his team's hopes of retaining the Premier League title.
Spurs led through Sandro's 19th-minute shot from long range but Frank Lampard equalized in the final minute of the first half after Heurelho Gomes spilled his shot.
The referee gave the goal even though replays showed the recovering goalkeeper just prevented the whole ball crossing the line and Kalou scored the winner from what appeared to be an offside position, stabbing in Didier Drogba's deflected shot.

The win keeps up the pressure on Manchester United, which seeks to extend its three-point advantage over Chelsea when it visits Arsenal on Sunday.
"They're in the driving seat and it's theirs to lose, but if they do slip up we're in a position now where we'll have a real go to try and do it," Lampard said. "We've kept ourselves alive today and we can sit back and watch and hope tomorrow."
Chelsea has just three games remaining to United's four, but one of those is the meeting between the teams at Old Trafford next weekend.
"We're fighting to the end," Lampard said. "We had a couple of months where we let ourselves down a bit and let it slip, but you saw the character today. We deserved it today."
Tottenham still has not won at Stamford Bridge since 1990 and is now unlikely to qualify for the Champions League. Manager Harry Redknapp's side is four points behind Manchester City, which occupies the fourth and final Champions League spot having played one game fewer.
"You've got to look at the two goals," Redknapp said. "The first one wasn't over the line and the second I thought was offside.
"I don't see why we're still messing around after all these years and haven't got technology in the game. It's amazing."
Manchester City hosts last-place West Ham on Sunday, when Wolverhampton Wanderers is at Birmingham, and Liverpool hosts Newcastle.
The identity of the clubs to be relegated remained unclear after Wigan and Blackpool each picked up a valuable point in their fight against the drop.
Blackpool drew 0-0 with FA Cup finalist Stoke, while Wigan drew 1-1 with seventh-place Everton.
Wigan led through Charles N'Zogbia's 21st-minute goal but Leighton Baines equalized with 12 minutes left with a penalty awarded for a handball by Hugo Rodallega.
Blackpool, in 17th place, and Wigan, in the third and final relegation spot, are tied on 35 points and separated only by goal difference with three games of their seasons remaining.
"This proves that we have come out of our doldrums," said Blackpool manager Ian Holloway after his team's first home clean sheet this season. "We have taken on a really good side at our place and kept a clean sheet."
West Ham has 32 points, one fewer than second-from-bottom Wolves.
Blackburn improved its chances of avoiding demotion with its first win since Jan. 23, beating Bolton 1-0. Martin Olsson scored the only goal with a low shot in the 20th, while Simon Davies scored twice as Fulham moved into the top half of the standings with a 3-0 win at Sunderland.
West Bromwich Albion's place in next year's Premier League looks secure after it rallied to a 2-1 win over Aston Villa.
Queens Park Rangers secured the League Championship title with a 2-0 win at Watford, playmaker Adel Taarabt's 19th goal of the season also helping to clinch promotion to the Premier League for the west London club after a 15-year absence.
But QPR faces an FA disciplinary hearing next week over allegations of breaking transfer rules, with a points deduction a possibility if it is found guilty.

Arsene Wenger feels the burden of captaincy weighs heavy on Cesc Fabregas, but is in no doubt Arsenal's disappointments will make him stronger.
The Gunners are facing up to a sixth campaign without silverware, having seen their Premier League title hopes evaporate following a run of costly draws and a last-gasp defeat at Bolton.
And another loss to leaders Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday could even jeopardise their Champions League qualification.

Just two months ago, Arsenal were fighting for honours on all four fronts, reaching the Carling Cup final before a shock defeat to Birmingham at Wembley was followed by exits from Europe and the FA Cup at the hands of Barcelona and Manchester United.
Fabregas turns 24 in early May, and while he has already tasted success with Spain at the European Championships and last summer's World Cup, the midfielder is yet to get his hands on any club honours as skipper.
Wenger installed Fabregas as his captain in November 2008, stripping William Gallas of the armband following public criticism of his young squad.
And Fabregas recently voiced his own concerns about what Arsenal are missing to convert promise into medals.
However, Wenger feels the burning desire for success and leading the team through adversity is a difficult one to balance.
"It is too much for him at his age. I believe so," Wenger said. "But he is the captain of the team and [Robin] van Persie is vice-captain, they put a lot of pressure on themselves.
"Cesc is a winner. He wants to win, he is desperate to win the games, and of course when it does not work, he is frustrated.
"It is too much because it doesn't go as well. Once it will go well, he will grow with it.
"Every difficulty in life will make you stronger, especially when you have a strong character, and Cesc is a strong character.
"I believe it will make him stronger, but maybe this season it is a bit of a heavy burden."
Wenger feels the turning point of the campaign was the final moments of the Carling Cup final, where a defensive mix-up gifted the Blues a dramatic winner.
"Victory could have given the players a little bit of playing with less weight on your shoulders," he said.
"I don't fault the attitude. I feel that this season the team could have won absolutely everything, but when things turned against us we became a bit nervous in the key moments of the games."
Despite the frustrations of this season, Wenger is determined to keep his current group intact.
"I believe that this team has been educated, grown together. The biggest achievement for them will be to win together," he said.
"They will have learnt their job the hard way. They have been criticised a lot and, at the moment, they do not get the credit they deserve. Once they win, they will be stronger."

Chelsea's title defence had previously felt tinged with desperation, at best an optimistic pursuit from an apparently hopeless position, though now it is fuelled with conviction.
This late win thrust the holders to within three points of Manchester United at the top, with a trip to Old Trafford to come next weekend. Sir Alex Ferguson had left the arena 15 minutes before the final whistle quietly content, the Premier League trophy apparently within his grasp; had he stayed, he might have ended up crying "conspiracy".
Even freakish good fortune is propelling Chelsea on to the leaders' shoulders at present. Both their goals here were laced with controversy, the kind of rewards that would normally be flagged down by the officials and, if only grudgingly, later conceded as correct calls. Yet, when the holders needed them most, they reaped the benefits from critical oversights.
This was an eighth win in nine league games. Such luck would never have been with them back in a dire mid-winter when a run of 10 points from 11 matches seemed to have wrecked their chances. Their luck has now turned.
Carlo Ancelotti, whose side trailed United by 15 points in March with form and confidence drained, conceded as much in the aftermath. "We were lucky," was his honest assessment, even if his team's refusal to surrender their title is rather more admirable.
There was a relentlessness to their approach here, the contest frantic as both teams vied to maintain their season's remaining objectives, until Didier Drogba sliced his shot across the mess in the six-yard box and the substitute Salomon Kalou prodded in a winner. The Ivorian appeared to be offside as Drogba connected, though there was no flag to save Spurs. The assistant referee, Martin Yerby, had benefited Tottenham earlier this season when allowing Tom Huddlestone's winner against Fulham. Here he left them frustrated.
Yet their real exasperation was reserved for his fellow linesman, Mike Cairns. The visitors had led through Sandro's staggering first goal for the club, a half-volley dispatched with venom to rip through Petr Cech's fingertips from 30 yards, and were just starting to consider a first win here since 1990 as the interval approached when Frank Lampard spat a shot at goal from distance. The attempt dipped but was still collectible, only for Heurelho Gomes to endure a repeat of the butter fingers that benefited Real Madrid last month. The shot squirmed through his grasp, dribbling back towards the line. For all the controversy that ensued, the error was shocking. Lampard was unrepentant afterwards. "I think after what happened to me in the World Cup game against Germany, I deserved a bit of luck," he said.
There was at least a desperate attempt at recovery, and Gomes had appeared to claw the ball away before it had crossed entirely, but Cairns was already edging tentatively back towards halfway. The confusion was brief, choked by Andre Marriner's award, and the Spurs players duly retired at the interval smouldering with a sense of injustice, and Gomes with agonised regret.
"It's not the time to crucify him," said Harry Redknapp, but the balance of the contest had tipped. Tottenham created only sporadic half-chances thereafter as they sat increasingly deep, their energy levels sapped as they chased the ball. Kalou's second could ultimately prove to be the goal that denied them a £30m return to the Champions League.
Chelsea, in contrast, have restored their momentum. Their good fortune was not merely reserved for refereeing oversights and inexplicable goalkeeping errors here. Ancelotti would not accept as much, but he had effectively escaped punishment for his risky decision to recall Fernando Torres to his starting line-up in place of Kalou, using the Spaniard as his central striking pivot and asking Drogba to operate in a wider and deeper role.
Changing a winning side had felt unnecessary, even if the £50m Torres had opened his account the previous weekend. His withdrawal just after the hour seemed to confirm the inclusion as a misjudgment, a sentiment reinforced by the impact Kalou then made.
Drogba's power and presence remained, even if his combination play with Torres continues to be lacking. The Ivorian battered a 35-yard free-kick on to the bar, via Gomes's touch, and later drew a less convincing save from the goalkeeper with Kalou missing the rebound. When that sailed high and wide, Chelsea's challenge appeared on the wane.
Ferguson left moments later hoping victory against Arsenal on Sunday would edge his team eight points clear and within sight of the finish line. "He didn't see the last goal," said Ancelotti. "I will send him a message to say we won."
Whether Torres starts Sunday's game at Old Trafford remains to be seen – he lasted only until the break in the Champions League quarter-final there – but Chelsea's recovery is impressive regardless.
At half-time in the league meeting with United at Stamford Bridge in March they had effectively trailed the leaders by 18 points. Now they can realistically travel to Manchester on Sunday aspiring to spread panic with two more games still to play.
"It's been important that we were able to close that gap in the last two months, and that means my team had a good reaction," said Ancelotti. "I don't want to joke, but when the sun comes out and the temperature is hotter, we play better. We suffer in the winter temperatures. It could be a good reason to explain this."
That will not be an acceptable explanation for the owner, Roman Abramovich, if this campaign ends trophyless, with the manager's own future at this club potentially to be determined on the success of his team's title defence. Yet, where once there was only vague hope, now Chelsea have belief.
