Just for your information, Nairobi is concentrated on an area of just 696 km square, just like one district among five districts of Dar Es Salaam. The total area of Nairobi is as big as Kinondoni district having a total area of 531 km² . .
Kampala, makes a fraction of Dar Es Salaam with the total area of 189 km². That means, Dar is seven times larger than Kampala, and three times lager than Nairobi.
Small as it is, Nairobi is a city with more than 3M inhabitant. This gives a picture that majority of people lives in slums or houses with less than 100 meter square piece of land, while in Dar the average are for a house is not less than 500 meter square piece of land.
Together with that, large area of Nairobi is reserved for wild animal park, making the total space for human being even smaller!
Even Kigali at 730 km² is 'by far' lager than Nairobi...

Next time, dont compare the vast city of Dar with a small village like Nairobi!
Nairobi should rather be compared with other smaller metropolitan like Kigali, or Kampala but not Dar Es Salaam.

Dar is bigger than the entire Nation of Singapore or Mauritius but ur LDC status is still strong.. making a fraction of what they make

Daamn, yani kumbe nairobi kadogo hivyo. And jiji la dsm lina watu wangapi?

Mind you, haven't you ever heard of Nairobi Metropolitan District? It includes regions in counties all around former Nairobi Province Kajiado, Kiambu, Muranga and Machakos.
Hizi ni janja janja ambazo hazina mashiko kwa watu makini.

Umeiweka vizuri sana mkuu, Nai is a dwarf. In 10 years time Dodoma itakua jiji la mfano ukizingitia ni jiji kubwa zaidi ya Dar na linapangwa vizuri.

Its the way it is, Nairobi will be a Metro one day, it has overgrown its confines and boundaries already. Everyone who has been to Nairobi knows this. I know am dissapointing you, but F.Y.I we also have a national park inside the confines of the city.

This is nearly five times in square kilometres compared to the initial Nairobi area. Alafu mtu analeta porojo nyingi. This is Nairobi, and its going beyond each and everyday.

my fellow Tanzanians lets concentrate on modernising our Dar city instead of comparing it with Nairobi which is more developed compared to ours. And more importantly lets focus on fraternal relationship with Kenya and other East Africa partner states instead of antagonising.

More developed kwa lipi hasa? Kwanza umewahi kufika Nairobi? Nilipofika Nai kwa mara ya kwanza nikajua tumeshukia njiani nikawa nauliza Dereva wa cab, how long will it take us to reach Nairobi? akasema, we r already in Nairobi!

Mshamba achanuliwe. Those are the legal border lines of Nairobi by the colonialist, which is on record, Nairobi outgrew those lines long ago kaka, it is a metropolis, with over 10million people, get it right danganyikan. No wonder bado Dar na hiyo upana yote(yenye kwa makaratasi) is yet to reach where Nairobi is!., mko hivi[emoji116][emoji116][emoji116]
