There was joy at St Mary’s primary school in Nakuru on Thursday after kids in the school were issued with laptops.

St Mary’s primary school in Nakuru East is one of the schools in the region which was chosen to carry out the pilot test.

Pupils could not hide their joy as they were handed the machines.

Evelyn Wambora, a parent who attended the event, said it was an honour for the school to have been chosen run the project.

“Kids are happy here. It is a good move by the government,” she said.

The Jubilee coalition during campaigns promised that they would give class one pupils’ laptops if they won the 2013 elections.

The project has however been faced by impediments leading to a tender of the laptops being cancelled.

UK bado anatekeleza miradi ya serikali ya nusu mkate...Though anaifuatilia poa.Yake bado hajaianza ukitoa laptop project
He did the right thing by not discarding them and working on them. He did not neglect the projects that nusu mkate did not do for 5 years...he's done them in 3 years.
And in those 3 years,he has tarmaced 1000km of roads annually(excluding roads that have been recapeted and those U/C)
