World record holder David Rudisha and Britain’s Mo Farah were ‘briefly arrested’ by Northumbria Police on Saturday.
Reports indicate that the two athletes were arrested after setting off speed cameras during a morning jog.
A post on the Facebook page of the police department says their officers were called in after getting reports of ‘speeding objects’.
When their officers arrived at the scene, they came across found two men who claimed they were world-renowned athletes but they (the officers) did not want to hear any of it.
