Mwenyekiti wa Kamati ya Makabidhiano ya Madaraka ya Urais, Joseph Kinyua amesema tarehe ya Kuapishwa Rais Mteule, itatangazwa rasmi kuwa Sikukuu ya Umma.
Mwenyekiti huyo pia ametaja Majukumu yatakayosomamiwa na Kamati hiyo kuwa ni:
Mamlaka ya Kamati hiyo yataanza punde Tume ya Uchaguzi ikimtangaza rasmi Rais Mteule.

The Assumption of Office of the President Committee held its inaugural meeting on August 12.
The committee’s chair, Joseph Kinyua, while addressing the press from Harambee House, said they will be making periodic updates of the process.
The date of the swearing in of the president-elect will be declared a public holiday, Kinyua clarified, adding that the mandate of the committee will be triggered once the electoral commission formally announces a president-elect.
Mr Kinyua laid out the role of the committee as to facilitate handing over process between the outgoing president and the president-elect. It will also organize security, personnel and facilities as needed for the president-elect.
The committee will also facilitate briefing of the president-elect by various public officers and organize the swearing in ceremony of the president-elect.

3. Kupanga wafanyakazi na vifaa kama inavyohitajika na Rais Mteule.
4. Kuandaa Taarifa Fupi ya Rais Mteule na Maafisa mbalimbali wa Serikali Mpya.
5. Kuandaa Hafla ya Kuapishwa Rais Mteule.
