Subject: FW: MLALAKUWA BRIDGE.
Please read below and spread the word!
Dear All,
Yesterday 06th October I dropped a guest at the Courtyard Hotel at abt 10.20pm and drove back to Tegeta via Old Bagamoyo Rd. I slowed down to abt 20km/hr upon reaching the Mlalakua Bridge because of the speed humps. As I finished crossing the bridge I heard the front passenger door open suddenly, alas a man was struggling to get into my car! I could not believe what I was seeing while screaming I pounded on the accelerator to the best of ability and dragged the man who was now hanging on the open door until he fell down near the first gate of Mlalakua JKT. I drove with an open door on high speed until the forces of nature closed it for me. My strategy was to just keep moving on high speed. I got home safely.
THE MISTAKES I MADE
I forgot to lock the doors when the guest disembarked.
I slowed down too much when I reached the bridge.
I did not use full-light upon reaching the bridge.
I was lucky no stone/log was put on the road to completely stop me.
Please
Be Careful on that Bridge at night!!! Many have lost their cars there.
FYI... be careful
