Hii mtakopa wapi?Kuna nyengine ya Mombasa-Malindi-Lamu ... Lakini hii itakuwa light railway ya 15 tonne/axle..... Tuombe mungu
Tz shot yourself in the foot with that electric train, alafu many contractors, as of now on paper you have Portuguese and Turkish firms building the SGR, too many cooks spoil the broth. Reli si nguo kushonwa na kuunganishwa kama kitenge. That route will remain on soft copy...it can not be implemented since it involves two countries to approve the transits prior to their destinations, these will result to complications on their logistics putting aside the distance factor...And this can be verified by Burundi and Rwanda r falling in love to Tanzania route since it involves only one country unlike the northern corridor as well as the distance...Truth be told ,u had a such masterplan since Tanzania was not expected to initiate the construction of central corridor

Another thing with this electric SGR, other countries you have mentioned are not ready for electric trains nor do they have enough capacity. Ethopia is a learning curve for this fellow counties, wameona vile ethopia is struggling to maintain operations 24/7 without interruptions.
So tell me how burundi will manage such infrastructure. And thatβs if you guys complete your SGR all the way to the border, with the slow pace of your SGR thereβs a high possibility it might never reach the border
Soma article hapa. Wacha kelele. Electric trains are not toys, especially in a LDC country. Adding to the risk is the lack of capacity to operate and maintain electric railwaysYou are blinded by the words of your minister that you were not able to employ electric trains due to power insufficiency...do you know how much megawatts are needed to drive electric train per kilometer?...it is not as much as u think, The problem was ur contract, u did nat think of electric trains because you thought it was expensive and unfortunately u realized it was not after seeing your neighbors r getting them...ur gov went back to demand electric trains on the same price but Chinese rejected unless u add more cash so ur politicians came back with lies to cover the truth....Power interruptions that happen in Ethiopia r due transmission and not production which is the problem to many African countries including south Africa where i stayed for 20 yrs

High-speed rail in Africa is βunfeasibleβ, says Chinese expert - Trends - GCR
Soma vizuri...LDC kama Tz wameshindwa na ukarabati wa Dreamliner sasa je electric train?. Am telling you ethopia is a learning curve, other countries wameona how this pipe dream looks like in reality.Morocco and south Africa are all going for high speed rail..r they not african countries??

Even when you read the ESIA report on Kenya's SGR the justification for using diesel, the document doesn't say Kenya doent have enough power to run the train, but it says Kenya doesn't have reliable electricity.... infarct they use the word quality electricity... Mind you interms of blackouts Kenya and rwanda have less blackouts per year than Ethiopia and Tz.You are blinded by the words of your minister that you were not able to employ electric trains due to power insufficiency...do you know how much megawatts are needed to drive electric train per kilometer?...it is not as much as u think, The problem was ur contract, u did nat think of electric trains because you thought it was expensive and unfortunately u realized it was not after seeing your neighbors r getting them...ur gov went back to demand electric trains on the same price but Chinese rejected unless u add more cash so ur politicians came back with lies to cover the truth....Power interruptions that happen in Ethiopia r due transmission and not production which is the problem to many African countries including south Africa where i stayed for 20 yrs

Even when you read the ESIA report on Kenya's SGR the justification for using diesel, the document doesn't say Kenya doent have enough power to run the train, but it says Kenya doesn't have reliable electricity.... infarct they use the word quality electricity... Anyway, The case of electric vs Diesel does not just end with the initial cost or the cost of running one train...... There alot of other factors that neighther you or me can determine in order to figure out which one would be profitable in both the Tanzanian and the Kenyan case....
From a mere point of view diesel or electric might look cheaper than the other but it all depends on a number of things..... For e.g Electricity might be cheaper....... Only if utilized to the fullest like >85%..... Remember power plant whether private or public cost alot of money to build and this money must be recovered back, so if 140MW are sold exclusively to the rail company, then the power company will charge the rail company the price for atleast 120MW every year whether the rail company uses this electricity or not, So if the company doesnt used the said electricity it actually becomes expensive for them to run an electric rail compared to diesel where you just buy the product in bulk and utilised it as needed. If the state run rail company fails to pay for this unutilized power, the state run power company cannot force another government department, the next step, to avoid losses, the power company forwards this bill to every other customer in the country to pay off the bill.... Kwahivyo usishangae ukiona bili ya stima yako ikipanda miaka ijayo alafu huku unaambiwa SGR electriicity is cheaper
Asichojua nikuwa hiyo dreamliner bado ipo kwenye uwangalizi wa Boeing kama kampuni. Wakenya huwa zero kwenye fikraDo not let ur brain bribed by rumors..r sure of dreamliner? or you just wanted to finish ur sentence...And who told u that uganda will have only one terminal of SGR??...Uganda will have also a terminal from central corridor actually Uganda felt sympathy on you after a loss of oil pipe and now SGR that could trigger a problem on bilateral relationship xo they decided to open competition where the cheaper and efficient rail will score more points..therefore Uganda will have both terminals from central corridor and northern corridor, only a better terminal will have more hunts (cargos)
So according to your mental capacity UG decided to borrow billions of dollars because they have sympathy for Kenya!. You guys have low IQ or propaganda imepenya bongo kama sumuDo not let ur brain bribed by rumors..r sure of dreamliner? or you just wanted to finish ur sentence...And who told u that uganda will have only one terminal of SGR??...Uganda will have also a terminal from central corridor actually Uganda felt sympathy on you after a loss of oil pipe and now SGR that could trigger a problem on bilateral relationship xo they decided to open competition where the cheaper and efficient rail will score more points..therefore Uganda will have both terminals from central corridor and northern corridor, only a better terminal will have more hunts (cargos)
Why dont you stop panicking and enjoy the diesel locomotives? JPM said he has money to build rail with no loan, he has done it .He also has said he has the electricity to run it..and he will so dont be shockedTanzania ya wonders kweli!. Yani sitting comfortably among the 10 African counties with WORST electricity supply but you are building an electric railway. Maajabu ya kutisha na kusitikisha!

Typical CCM propaganda. So emperor JPM has no capacity to provide local mwanainchi with electricity but will miraculously supply reliable quality electricity to SGR ambayo bado hamna reli, it is still is a work in progress. Why dont you stop panicking and enjoy the diesel locomotives? Utapataje tabu sana. Povu lako sio la Africa MasharikiTypical CCM propaganda. So emperor JPM has no capacity to provide local mwanainchi with electricity but will miraculously supply reliable quality electricity to SGR ambayo bado hamna reli, it is still is a work in progress.
To make matters worse Burundi has only 7% of population connected to power, how do you expect to extend SGR ya wonders to Burundi? Ama JPM is planning to pass his majic skills to Nkurunzia ππ
This comedy unfolding and Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi will learn from your comedy of errors.
Am sure somebody presented sane facts to Magufuli but he bulldozed them Same way alinunua Dreamliner ovyo ovyo kufanya biashara ya matatu
JPM has at his disposal, Phd Economists and he listens to them unlike bhang smoker uhuru who was constantly told not to have such idiotic things as rate caps by both Treasury and CBK Gvnr but went ahead and signed the law...Same thing to borrowing beyond 50% GDP...atleast we know who is behaving like a dictatorTypical CCM propaganda. ππDonβt compare Uhuru to ur iron fist leader. The rate cap law came from parliament (a legislative arm of government) and the CBK governor rightfully petioned law makers to re-consider the law.
