What Keri Hilson Is Finally Saying About Her Long-Awaited New Album

Get ready for the return of Ms. Keri Baby! HipHollywood caught up with the singer, while on a press run for her role in the upcoming film Almost Christmas, and found out her plans to finally drop new music.

“What I can tell you is the press releases and the ugly artwork are fake,” she said referring to the press release and album artwork released without her permission back in March. “I’m like, ‘If I’m putting artwork out, it’s going to be way more creative and artistic than that.’ It’s my comeback, I’ve been gone for five years. I didn’t intend for it to be that long but it has.”

So what does the 33-year-old have in store for fans with her third album? “Just picture someone playing dominoes or cards and all of a sudden they go bam — they reveal they’ve got the winning hand. That’s what I plan to do, and that’s what I think my music is worthy of doing, so that’s all I can say.”

Keri’s third album follows her 2009 debut In a Perfect World, and 2010’s No Boys Allowed, which featured appearances from Chris Brown, Kanye West and J. Cole.

No word on what this one will be called, but from the sound of things, it’s going to be worth the wait.

It has been more than 6 years since her last album, hopefully she will drop at least one before 2017.
