Kenya: Senator elect for Machakos County Mr Johnstone Muthamahas faulted the use of the Presidential Air Force jet by President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta.
Muthama said it was unconstitutional and against the law for Uhuru to use the jet before being sworn is as legitimate President of the country by the Chief Justice.
''As long as he is not the Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces the law does not allow him to ride the jet'' said Muthama adding that one would wonder under what circumstance was he allowed to enjoy the jet.
He termed the move as the highest order of impunity the country was witnessing saying this was true indication that the country was yet out of york of impunity and lawlessness.
Accompanied by four MPs elect from Machakos County namely Patrick Makau (Mavoko), Robert Mbui (Kathiani), Maweu Katatha (Kangundo) and Mutinda Mule (Matungulu) Muthama demanded action against those involved in the irregular move.
''Up to when a new President will be sworn in, we have President Kibaki as the legitimate leader of Kenya who is also the commander in chief of the armed forces and the only one currently mandated by the law to use the Air Force jet'' he added.
He made the remarks at Yakamete AIC church during a thanksgiving service.
Muthama at the same time accused some leaders from Ukambani of "betrayal" by decamping to the Jubilee alliance.
He took issue with the former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti and her former Machakos town counterpart Mr Victor Munyaka for abandoning CORD to join Jubilee.
''Although it is their democratic right to choose their political destiny, this is as well a sign of dishonesty to the community to isolate themselves politically'' he said.
The leaders however, insisted that those who were outside Vice president Kalonzo's political camp risked to be isolated by the entire community.
