A Form One student has been charged with nine counts of murder over the deadly fire that claimed nine lives at the Moi Girls School on September 2.

The student has been freed on Sh200,000 cash bail among other conditions pending hearing and determination of the case.
The 14-year-old student appeared before Justice Luka Kimaru who barred the media from covering the proceedings, saying that the minor’s rights must be protected.
The had earlier been remanded for a period of seven days to allow police conclude its investigations.

Very sad for such a young girl to do that to her agemates! I remember my classmates in form one, those who were my friends or otherwise. We were all comrades against the world! Some of my best friends in my life I got to know them in Form one. What happened to such stuff, for one to burn her classmates!

I always wanted to go to a boarding school but my parents were firmly against it....The irony is they both went to boarding schools...That is a top school in Kenya.. Indeed very sad state of things...
