Si lazima Kisumu to have whatever Mwanza have so that they can be compared economically. Tanzania have all minerals that may be found on earth but it is still poorer than Somalia. Then how do u compare the economy of Kisumu to Mwanza? Do u have oil fields in Kisumu? Gold mines? Many Fish factories as Mwanza? Livestock as Mwanza? Cotton as Mwanza?

As I said Mwanza has more advanced marine vessels industry than the whole of Kenya! All these seem to be white elephants or mere cosmetics, they don't translate to prosperity or meaningful contribution to your GDP.

Kisumu or Kenya in general doesn't need many ferries around the lake, our segment ni ndogo sana ukilingamisha na upande wa Tz n Ug. Areas served by ferry aren't that busy! Islands mingi ni za fishermen so why prioritize kwa ferry?, Geza Ulole do you critically think before typing?

Past and Present on Lake Victoria | |
| Port Bell (Kampala) in July 2005 | |
| The first “open water” Uganda government ferry to be built and launched in Uganda for many years is the 400 tonne displacement KALANGALA. After she was launched off the floating dock, she was pulled 7kms out to “sea” from Port Bell. The vessel will operate the Port Bell to Kalangala (in the Ssesse Islands) route and is mixed passenger and cargo, having a hydraulic crane attached to her deck. The ship was built by Kamanga Ferries. | |
