It will be a huge sigh of relief for some tenants in Nyandarua county after their landlord asked them not to pay rent for the next two months due to the coronavirus crisis that has threatened to halt operations in the country.
The landlord identified as Michael Munene left the tenants smiling after telling them he was well aware of the tough economic situations in Kenya which have been worsened by the pandemic.
Speaking to Citizen TV in the evening of Saturday, March 21, Munene said he was touched by the plight of his customers who may experience challenges in raising rent.
"I have stayed with these people for quite some time and I have always had an agreement with them to pay their rent before the tenth of every month but most of them have challenges.
