Sefer haZohar ~ Rabbi Yehuda said: When a man emits seed in vain, those drops of seed go forth and ascend into the air. They do not enter the holy domain, and they do not find a proper place. Instead, they wander without purpose, forming entities of destruction that roam the world. These spirits exist in an incomplete state, neither fully in this world nor in the next. When the person who created them departs from this world, they come before him and accuse him, saying: "You gave us no body, no place, no purpose. Now we shall testify against you."
Rabbi Yitzchak said: Every drop of seed that a man emits improperly creates destructive spirits in the world. These spirits roam about and appear before the Holy One, Blessed be He. They say to Him: "We have no body and no place to go." They wander the world and bring impurity upon it. And when a man departs from this world, these spirits come to him and testify against him, bringing him punishment in the World to Come.
Rabbi Yitzchak said: These spirits attach themselves to impurity, drawing strength from the forces of the Other Side (Sitra Achra). They cling to places of impurity and find sustenance in human sins, leading people further astray. This is why a man must be careful with his seed, lest he create forces that bring harm upon him in this world and the next.
