We're dedicated to developing business and partnerships with a range of organizations as well as driving the localization of Google products to local markets. The role: Office Lead

As Office Lead, you'll essentially be Google's country leader, representing the company in all of our major business development and partnership opportunities and serving as the voice of the Tanzanian user at Google. You're a visionary and a leader with solid technical skills and experience in managing a variety of technical projects. Additionally, you're innovative and business-savvy. You bring a solid understanding of the country's information and technology communications ecosystem, and you'll quickly be able to recruit and manage a team.

Responsibilities
Scout market development opportunities and recommend specific initiatives that correspond with Google’s mission, values and capabilities
Optimize the local infrastructure by leading the company's technology-driven initiatives in Africa that will have a meaningful impact on development on the continent

Adapt Google services and products to the local market
Provide superior technical oversight of local Google projects
Provide a strong communication link to Google’s other offices around the world

Requirements
BA or BS degree (computer science preferred)
A thorough understanding of the Tanzanian information and technology communications ecosystem, including backbone infrastructure, last-mile access and local content
Experience working with local telcos, ISPs and mobile operators
Ability to recruit and manage a world-class team
Demonstrable technical leadership
Strong local relationships in the private and public sectors
Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, and experience with negotiating and partner management

- Advanced level of Spanish and/or English and/or French (Two languages are required).
- Flexibility and availability to travel/ stays in the field, without any warning, at any time and in any country for the time thought to be necessary. (It is estimated that 80% of the time is spent in the field).

- High flexibility and adaptation to changes.

Reporting to the Regional Coordinator of Humanitarian Action in Barcelona HQ, the selected person will be responsible for managing the Humanitarian and Emergency Programmes in the Country.

Key responsibilities are to:

&#8226; Design and formulate, along with the country management, the development of the strategy and planning of the preparation, mitigation and response plan of Intermon Oxfam itself and as part of Oxfam International.
&#8226; Design, implement and maintain the efficient planning, management, assessment and formulation of the programme.
&#8226; Guarantee the definition and implementation of an efficient system of monitoring and evaluation for the different humanitarian programmes directly executed or with partners.
&#8226; Define and coordinate a capacity building plan for IO staff and partners in Sudan, in coherence with the general IO programme of strengthening humanitarian capacity of the country team of IO.
&#8226; Coordinate a humanitarian response in case of crisis, with support of Intermon Oxfam Humanitarian Department.

REQUIRED PROFILE

&#8226; University degree, preferably in topics related to humanitarian assistance.
&#8226; Three years experience in a similar position, two of which in a position of responsibility.
&#8226; Working experience with local counterparts, local and/or international NGO, etc.
&#8226; Experience and knowledge of formulation, following-up and evaluation of cooperation projects and Humanitarian programmes with vulnerable communities.
&#8226; Proven knowledge of the socio-political context of Southern Sudan, or eventually Eastern and Central African context, will be advantageous.
&#8226; Team working and multicultural team coordination experience.
&#8226; Proven ability to run proposals with a results orientated approach and decision making.
&#8226; Ability to work under pressure.
&#8226; Knowledge and attention to gender aspect within humanitarian programmes.
&#8226; Planning, management and organisation skills.
&#8226; Proficiency in written and spoken English. Sudanese Arabic will be an advantage.

RECRUITMENT OF KADCO MANAGING DIRECTOR-LETTER OF OFFER

We refer to your application for the post of Managing Director for KADCO. We are pleased to inform you that in the Board Meeting dated 18.12.2008, you are the Preferred Candidate. I offer you my congratulations.

In this regard you will receive subject to your approval of the Letter of Offer, contract enumerating conditions for your employment that will contain the following conditions:

Costs of Moving: you will be refunded costs of moving from Holland to Kilimanjaro and vice-versa.

Salary: $13,500 per month gross.

Additional Benefits:

Housing : you will have a free furnished house, with utilities, and security.

Car : the company will offer you fuelled & serviced car with driver.

Medical Insurance: you will be offered medical insurance for you & your immediate Family

Leave: The leave entitlement will be 28 days per year & passages during leave

Term: The term will be 2 years renewable

Other benefits: you will be entitled to other benefits provided by the company to the MD

In addition you will be entitled to annual bonus measured by the Board on the following:
a) Good governance and Retaining Staff
b) Marketing the airport and the Master Plan
c) Growth of non-aeronautical revenues
d) Introduction of another international Flight from Europe or America.
The additional benefits if approved by the Board will be limited to 30% of Salary.





Receipt of reply to this letter will enable us to draw a contract under which you will be employed.
Also a possible date of reporting for duty will be useful, in drawing up the Contract of Employment.

NB: 1. It is possible that during the currency of employment, there will be another investor with
Controlling shares in KADCO-you will be informed in due course.

2. This will be subject to Government of Tanzania signing letter of adherence –the sellers of shares have being waiting for over two years for this to happen.
