Kenya's Angela Tanui has broken the course record to win the Amsterdam Marathon, Netherlands.

She clocked in at 2 hours 17 minutes 57 seconds on on Sunday, October 17.

Her colleague, Maureen Chepkemoi came in second place and fell three minutes shy off clinching the title (2:20:18).

The Kenyan athlete dedicated her win to fallen teammate Agnes Tirop who died on Wednesday, October 13.
