Naibu Inspekta jenerali wa polisi wa Uganda Major General Paul Lokech amefariki ghafla siku ya ijumaa iliyopita. Uchunguzi wa kitabibu wa vifo umebaini kuwa marehemu Maj Gen Lokech umetokana na chembechembe za mgando wa damu katika mwili wake kutokana na ajali ndogo ya kuvunjika kifundo cha mguu (ankle) aliyoipata wiki kadhaa zilizopita na kuhudumiwa katika hospitali kama kawaida ya emergency ndogo isiyo tisha.

Chembechembe za mgando wa damu zimebainika ktk viungo vyake vya dani ikiwemo mapafu. Mabingwa ktk utabibu bingwa pathologists walipouchunguza mwili wa marehemu walibaini chembechembe za mgando wa damu ktk mshipa mkubwa wa damu ktk mguu wake wa kulia ambapo kifundo (ankle) ilivunjika.

Chembechembe za Mgando wa damu hutembea ktk mtiririko wa damu na kuziba mishipa ya damu ikasababisha hewa ya oksijeni kushindwa kusafirishwa kwenda ktk mapafu au ubongo na kuleta madhara yanayopelekea kifo kwa changamoto ya pumzi au kiharusi n.k


Gen Lokech passed away on Saturday at his home in Kiira Municipality, Wakiso District.

The cause of death was revealed to be two blood clots in his lung and ankle caused by an injury he sustained about two weeks ago.

The reshuffle caused the transfer of 272 officers from all departments and directorates of police, including officers at the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police and Commissioner of Police.

Others include police officers, who completed the Intermediate Command Course at Bwebajja Senior Command and Staff College and the Ideological Course at the National Leadership Institute in Kyankwanzi.

According to an August 20 notice, which this newspaper has seen, Gen Lokech ordered that the handover and taking over of the new offices be done properly.
