So paying twice the cost why not buying LPG buses straight from manufacturers? did u factor a conversion cost? U have to be aware that flex fuel conversion takes more space in the car as an additional tank is needed! Most PAX cars have gas cylinders in the car boot so imagine a bus will also need that!

Wow. I was not aware that we were doing LPG conversion in Kenya. That is interesting. Ksh 55,000 for a coversion is not alot.

Hivi hata usafi wa hiki kichwa cha treni mpaka Mchina aje ama? 🀣 ☝️
Okay let me put your heart at rest. These are the old trains that currently run on the commuter rail. That is why we bought 11 DMUs from spain to increase speed and ridership.
The DMUs are currently undergoing testing on the track and they have clocked 100 km/hr in some sections of the track. I hope this clears your confusion.

As long as it is kenyans doing it, the price can be negotiated. Yes we are that self centred.

Conversion is not expensive. And you will recover the cost in fuel savings.

Yes. The Chinese are leading in electric vehicles technology in general, including the personal cars. For us we will accept any bus that solves the jam menace in Nairobi. The bus doesn't have to be fancy as long as it solves our problems.
Actually the backbone of transport in Nairobi metropolitan will be the commuter rail. I took a look at the transport master plan for Nairobi metropolitan area and they actually are not planning for many buses but for a wide coverage, fast and reliable commuter rail with buses only acting as support for the commuter rail.

I will share the document here for your perusal.

Ati Tony254 hiki si kichwa nimekiongelea jana? At least kitapata some facials!

On another note, poleni sana kwa ajali!
As afore stated, the old commuter trains are still running and working while the recent rolling stock undergoes testing. And that is an accident which happens due to human negligence.
With the renovated rail tracks even the old trains are now moving faster. Please find a video below of the testing of the recent DMUs for Nairobi commuter rail.
