Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has abandoned the push for a national referendum.

Kidero, who belongs to the Cord coalition which has been pushing the referendum call, urged all Governors and MCAs to use Parliament and other avenues provided for in the constitution to push for an increase in funds allocated to counties.

The Cord coalition led by Raila Odinga officially kicked off a signature collection drive for the referendum yesterday, under slogan Okoa Kenya. K24 News

I admire your guts Kidero. Kenya is bigger than an individual. The decision you made is not from the party standpoint but from your heart. Surely Kenyans are tired of daily politics which do"nt not help the common man. Truth be told, Uhuruto are trying to make Kenya a liveable country and they deserve support. Yes we have issues that need to be addressed but these political referendum are just for political relevancy. Luos, Kikuyus , Luhyas and every other tribe should come together and find a workable solution to our national nugging problems. Raila, please grow up. Enough is enough
