Ha because have said Ke will benefit more?on the other hand(I remember a certain US president wanted an economist who is one handed, because he tired of hearing '"on the other hand")Good grasp of economic issues
Mkuu, your piece reminds me of those days when I used your arguments here to show benefits of regional integration.[emoji13] [emoji13]Everybody will benefits big markets means every seller have more chance to find buyers and and buyers can get better price because of the increased competition.
Free movement of people will help to increase tourism in all countries and more opportunity to find jobs for everybody.
Best education institutions will find more students and students easily find best schools / Colleges and University which offer the best education for affordable price. Therefore benefiting both students and Schools , Colleges and Universities.
Free movement of capital and good will increase efficiency, competition and reduce price for buyers everywhere.
More businesses and jobs will be created. Simply because : - more opportunities to find customers because of the size of the markets.
Stability and Peace: - If our economies depend on each other, we are less likely to fight each other. More likely we will sit on table and find solutions by solving our problems on the table.
Cultural enrichment, lower cost of travels and because we are bigger Institution we can negotiate with other powerful entities EU, China, India and USA from stronger position than if we do as individual countries.
Win win situation for everybody.
Sio kila saa ni vita. Mimi nakupongeza na wewe uko busy kupingana hapa.Ha because have said Ke will benefit more?on the other hand(I remember a certain US president wanted an economist who is one handed, because he tired of hearing '"on the other hand")
When the Northern Tz uses Mombasa port, they get to tap on that efficiency at the port, this facilitate the movement of goods and hence benefit Tanzanians.
But today's complex economic issues aren't so clear cut.Ni kama vile USA compalin alot about trade favourable to China ,Mexican exports but if you look closely its not the case cuz too many US companies invested there.Could be the same case with Kenya vs EAC nations.Good grasp of economic issues

Tuachane na Ethiopia we go with DRC. Or at least the Eastern part of it. We have more ni common with them than hao walalo wa ET.Ethiopia's entry into the community would also be beneficial but the country is very protectionist...
Number 1 in EAC, Number 1 in Comesa, Number 1 in IGAD

Anyway, even with all our problems in the EAC, EAC is the most intergrated regional block in Africa, Kushinda Ecowas,SADC,Comesa... East Africa is most integrated region in Africa
