New administration under Samia Suluhu gives hope after 5 years of hopelessness

Her claim that she is keen to prepare her retirement by taking care of the oldies is spurious knowing her pension is a constitutional matter that has nothing to do with the fate of oldies

Oldies asked for representation jobs but she just gave empty promises

What she needed to say was she is going to create a law which will fotbid all who are in any form of pension from [emoji724] holding any government post in order to allow qualified non pension oldies to have a reasonable chance of getting the nod of those jobs

She promised to engage every able person to work but so far she has not walked the talkie as only CCM cadres have been placated and words are just that

Her promise of political parties impartiality is a reminder of the spirit of Shujaa wa Africa who claimed "Maendeleo hayana vyama" but only to trust and appoint CCM cadres to spearhead development

As we said she has a bag of unclear promises meaning she does not care the plight of oldies

The speech over but regrettably has left us with no major policy shifts to tend to oldies

Blaming the oldies over moral decay just added salt to the wound. They are victims of money culture so are powerless to flip this harsh reality. Easier to sermonize and moralize but not problem solver
