Local governmental employees ought to be employed by councillors rather than the president.

This was a pillar of views collated by the Warioba commission whereof voters had urged reduction of Presidential appointment powers to curb abuse of public office.

However, the Warioba sellout opted to sidestep this onerous duty by claiming local government matters were not union ones. So, they swept clipping Presidential appointment powers under the carpet.

The bad news remain the issue keep rearing its ugly hydra day in day out.


What the PM is doing is basically chasing shadows after the meat has been chewed and excreted.

So, he is not proactive but reactive not a problem solver, at all.

Think the Premier has powers to sack the local government overturning the will of electorate.

The gospel truth remains fuel costs gonna hurt unless we talk to Putin and Russia where the costs of one barrel is less by $ 35 compared to global markets.

Efforts to cushion fossils users with Tshs 100 bill a month is ineffective and inefficient.

Lowering taxes on fuels most effective than doling out the money to bulk suppliers as envisaged.

Had we bought shipping liners instead of jumbos we will be rushing to Russia and buy highly subsidised black oils and our inflationary pressures due to weakened local currency will have been confined in our dreams.


Gradual phasing out of oil bulky suppliers vital to take out middlemen who are milking us dry from exchange rates to actual billing let alone ghost payments.
