Nimejifunza leo kwamba ili usinzie fofofo, ndani ya dakika 90 unapitia stages kadhaa. Kuna mbili ambapo mojawapo ni majanga.

1. REM: Ambayo unakua umesinzia unconscious ila una uwezo wa ku move your muscles.

2. SLEEP PARALYSIS. Hii stage ndio huwa inanipata na mimi. Unakua umelala fofofo, then inafikia point nusu unakuwa umeamka (half asleep) halafu huna uwezo kumuvuzisha muscles zako.. Unaweza kuona vitu vya ajabu au hata kuongea na mtu ambae una feel uwepo wake. Ila huwezi ku move kabisaa. Hii ndio inaitwa sleep paralysis.

Nilipokua teenager nilikua najilazimisha kustuka na kupiga kelele.. Ukubwani saa hizi natulia tu mpaka inaisha yenyewe nastuka na kuendelea kulala.... though ni mtihani sometimes kujiaminisha hii ni ndoto tu au mpaka nawasha taa kuhakiki hakuna kitu..

Ni hali ambayo unakua nusu upo macho(conscious) na nusu umelala....ile nusu uliyolala inaendelea na ndoto zake ambazo hii nusu kuamka inazitafsiri in real life...ila mbaya zaidi unakua huwezi kumuvuzisha mwili wako (can't move any muscles)....sasa kama ndoto ni mbaya ndio hapo unajikuta una struggle kupiga makelele. Ukubwani mie huwa ninaota wamekuja watu na tunaongea nakucheka....ila akili huwa inaniijia najiuliza wameingiaje hawa mbona tumefunga milango hapo hapo nastuka.
 
Kwenye hiyo stage unaweza kutamani mtu atokee angalau akutikise kidogo tu iki uamke. Ubongo upo active unakutaka uamke macho yamefumba huna uwezo hata wa kutikisa kidole dah...
 
Ingawa ni phenomeno ambayo utafiti wake ni bado sana.wataalam wamesema nisababu ya stress, pia kulalia mgongo
