Kenya-based online retailer Kilimall has opened a third subsidiary in Nigeria as part of its Africa expansion plans. The retailer, which started operations in Kenya two years ago, launched in Uganda in May before its latest venture in West Africa. Kilimall international regional marketing director Larry Liu said the Uganda office has picked well prompting further expansion into Africa.

The Nigerian subsidiary will be officially launched this month to tap the biggest online market in West Africa and one of the top economies in Africa.

“We realised that there is a high demand for various products by Nigerians and went in to fill that gap,” Liu said adding, “Since May, visits to the Kilimall website in Uganda have grown to 500 orders per

day.”
