A man who received the heart of a suicide victim had a really interesting, though tragic life story. In 1995 Mr Graham, who had been suffering from congestive heart failure, was transplanted the heart of a 33-year-old man who had shot himself in the head thus committing suicide. The recipient didnt know who the donor was and wasnt informed about the way he had died.
A year after the life-saving surgery Mr Graham found the address of the donors widow, Cheryl, and wrote her a letter to thank her about her noble act. They continued their correspondence and eventually met, fell in love and got married. However, 12 years after he received the transplanted heart, Mr Graham killed himself in the same way his donor had done it years ago.
