Partnership for Prevention of Cervical Cancer in Tanzania Launched

The Executive Director of the Pink Ribbon, Red Ribbon (PRRR) initiative, Dr Doyin Oluwole speaks at the launch of the PRRR cervical cancer initiative in Dar es Salaam. The project which will be implemented in Iringa, Mwanza and Mbeya addresses the second most common form of cancer amongst women in Tanzania. About 25% of all Tanzanian women are expected to develop cervical cancer in their lifetimes. Early detection of this form of cancer is key to successful treatment.
