Urban planning experts from Singapore and the US in Kigali

A team of urban planning experts from Singapore and the US are in Kigali city to work with the city urban planning technicians in developing the detailed physical plans for the different zones of Kigali city.

The expert are from SCE Surbana and OZ Architecture from Singapore and the US respectively.

Their work is part of the implementation of Kigali city master plan which was approved by the cabinet meeting early this year.

The present master plan is a conceptual one which focuses on the broad guidelines toward planning for Kigali City for the next 50 years. The visit by these experts starts the process of making detailed District Physical Plans that will clearly outline the detailed use of city land, assign standards by which we must develop and outline the infrastructure, physical and social amenities that will be provided in these planned areas.

OZ Architecture is the company that developed Kigali city’s conceptual master plan.
