MY TAKE: Hivi hii hali angeiona Magufuli, kuna ambaye angebaki ofisini?
----------------
A photo of a poorly done road between Bulbul and Gataka in Kajiado County by a certain contractor has raised serious concerns among Kenyans. From the photo, an electricity pole can be see clearly inside the meandering road and people wondered how that was even acceptable.
Kenyans could not believe that, a certified contractor-who also legally won the contract to construct the road-could do such shoddy work oblivious of the grim risks associated with his actions. This is because, an electricity pole is a mojor obstruction to motorists and could lead to numerous accidents.
In addition, road users could also be exposed to electrocution when power faults occur. Kenyans have consequently criticized Kenya Power (KPLC) and the contractor for what they terms as staggering incompetence in his work.
Infact a user by the name @Amechokapunda wrote,
"Staggering incompetence! Such contractors should not only be blacklisted, they Should also be jailed for wasting tax payers money. "
Another user, @omwambaze criticized KPLC on why they had done nothing about the electricity pole. He wrote,
" @KenyaPower, why was the pole never shifted? "
Luckily Kenya Power has said that they have reached to the contractor and are trying to provide a solution. We can only hope the contactor will be held accountable for his incompetence.
