Over one million people to lose jobs as NASA boycott takes shape
Safaricom dealers Association (SDA) has condemned NASA’s call for boycott saying that one million Kenyans will be left jobless. Led by their chairperson Esther Muchemi, the dealers said that if the current situation remains as it is, Safaricom will have to cut down on labor, which means sending home some employees.
"We appeal to all Kenyans to resist such calls to kill our economy. Boycotting Safaricom means no communication networks and those who will lose jobs are our brothers and sisters with families to feed and children to educate," she said.
Esther Muchemi also urged political leaders not to politicize businesses, telling them to stick to politics and let business owners be.
