Today I would like to share with you what is in my thought concern the so-called DEMOCRACY.
The concept of DEMOCRACY sometimes can be defined as the relationship between human being with his/her fellow, relationship between ruler and ruled ones.
This meaning is exactly and easily caught by those through which a word has originated, who are Europeans and Americans.
The philosophers contend that when a new Idea is imparted in to the mind of the someone who has not been prepared psychologically to accept that Idea in its fresh and intended meaning, what happens is CONFUSSION IN THE MIND.
We all the witnesses on what is happening in our continent,
It is obvious that our understanding of the concept of DEMOCRACY by defining It as the relationship between humans with their fellows, rulers with their subjects is quite different from Europeans and Amricans understanding.
As a result, the invention of this concept in Africa has brought and continue to bring political and social confussions which cost the lives of thousands Africans.
We as Africans should we continue to define the concept of DEMOCRACY according to our understanding as being before in order to avoid these confussions to save our lives and properties?
