President Samia Suluhu Hassan will receive another honorary doctorate in aviation management from Korea Aerospace University (KAU) during her visit to South Korea. This will be her fifth honorary degree since she came to power on March 19, 2021.

The degree will be awarded in honor of her transformative actions, policy interventions, and pragmatic leadership that have transformed the aviation sector.

These include the development of airport infrastructure, investment in capacity building for systems, technical personnel, and supporting staff, and the expansion of fleets both for passenger and cargo planes, which have increased from one in 2015 to fourteen now.
