Princess Beatrice was presumably all smiles when she hosted her engagement party at Chiltern Firehouse in London yesterday. The 31-year-old is expected to marry Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, a multi-millionaire property tycoon, sometime in 2020.

Noticeable no-shows included her father Prince Andrew (who is under hot water for close ties to Jeffrey Epstein), the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (who are on a break from royal duties).
Indeed, the stars in attendance more than made up for the lack of royals. On hand were Robert De Niro, James Blunt, Pippa Middleton in a sparkling cocktail number under her black coat, and Ellie Golding in a sleeveless, ruched dress by Veronica Beard that featured crystal buttons down the front. All were clearly media adverse, jetting from the car to the venue hastily.
And no one exemplified this more than the bride-to-be, who avoided cameras altogether. Her last appearance was earlier that day, when she attended the Queen's Christmas Lunch at Buckingham Palace.
It was here where she wore her go-to grey and periwinkle wool coat by Carven, which she has sported for five years and counting. If anything, it shows her soon-to-be hubby that she can
really commit.
