Introduction.
for Tanzania development in all aspects Economy, Education, Technology, we need to have a strong and quality Health system. " the biggest investment one can do is to invest in his/her health because that is the source to all material wealth"
One must be healthier so he can work hard and in this way he can contribute to the country development and his personal financial freedom.
Students who are the future leaders won't be able to study to their best while sick, or while he/she is hungry, and so the father economy will determine the performance of student in one way or the other
And the father won't work to find financial Freedom with poor heath
So here we all need health to do want we do to our best
So what we need ensure the sustainable, quality, accessible and affordable health.
1. UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE (PROVISION OF FREE HEALTH SERVICES /WITH LOW COST) .
This is the system also known as universal health coverage. A health care system where all the residents, of a particular country are assured access to health care usually free or for a very low cost in some services or all health services.
It is usually not cover all cases and not all people it's just that people should get access to health services without financial hardship when where needed.The director geneneral of WHO Margaret Chan described the universal coverage as the "single most powerful concept that public health has to offer" et al WHO updates,
used by a number of countries in Asia, Europe and even in some Africa.
This system will reduce the mortality rate especially in rural areas when the money became the problem
2. INCREASE THE ACCISSIBILITY OF HEALTH ESPECIALLY IN RURAL AREA.
I should take a moment to congratulate the government, for some actions it have been taking lately. example the health personnel in community level cavancies that have been announced, that there will be two people in every village /street in tanzania.
This is the best thing that the primary health care won't be disappointing majority will receive either knowledge, first aids, services, to prevent preventable dealths
Though we still lack
There are still few hospitals, health centre's and dispensaries in rural areas so the service will delay to individuals this will result in preventable dealthsor complications.
So the government should build more hospital facilities especially in village areas
Lastly
Health practitioners are still few that the overload of those available leads to poor provision of services
We still need more health personnels.
3. HEALTH EDUCATION IN PRACTICAL
In medical universities and colleges the practical hours have been limited that most of the time it's theory while we need much of clinical rotations Since practice makes perfect We need to be close to the ones with the experienced ones they have alot of reality more that what in theories.
Medical needs a balance between class and practical sessions When we will have that there won't be necessarity of asking for experienced doctors while employing since everyone is educated and have experience.
4. ENCOURAGING HEALTH LIVING AND HOW TO DO SO .
Am proud of prof. Janabi of muhimbil for what he have been currently doing, he has been going education on how one can live a life while prevent modifiable risks of some disease specifically the non communicable,
Though the influence still low we need some seminars and if possible some time, in television like we can have a channel specifically prepared to provide education on balanced diet, physical fitness and other health lifestyle. not only a channel but we can also
Educate during a break time of TV shows
Thus makes people more educative and the incidence and prevalence of non communicable disease like Diabes, hypertension, obesity, hypercholesteremia and other be in low rate.
At least now people know what to eat what to not eat in excess and so on
In muhimbili more that 150 patients being under dialysis per day and the major cause in 90%is due to non communicable disease such as Diabes "et al_JAMII forum as a speech from janabi"
So that means it was possible to prevent them through proper lifestyle
So we should put more Modalities like seminars, courses, leaflets, flyers and so on to educate the society this will reduce the incidence of these disease
Hence it will raise the economy of a person and the country in general.
"kinga ni bora kuliko tiba" preventive services are more important than the treatment services it self. These preventive strategies will ensure not many people are being the victims here.
5. INVESTING IN HEALTH.
As we invest in agriculture, industrial activities, technology, we can also invest in health
BY putting more effort and money in health system the hospital technology will raise making easy provision of health services
The government usually put more efforts of investments in other sectors forgetting we can also invest in health
Thanks to some private sectors that have been doin great with investing in this important sector its much known the private health facilities have great important though they are based in urban than in rural
Other investment can be providing with mobile health clinics
As Tanzania we are very slow this strategy would have increased the health well being of Tanzanians.
6. PROPER UTILIZATION OF GIVERNMENT RESOURCES LIKE EFFECTIVE OPERATION OF THE NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE FUND (NHIF).
We have some government insurance funds but they are not well operating like the fund should be able to operate within its own without need government to give extra fund each year, only if we can be careful and enable some strategic plans that will ensure no money is lost in nowhere and the fund can have developments that will ensure services are well and good.
It was a good opinion to have salary deducted, and some percent to be sent in national health fund. But the problem is still the nhif can not run well that it need more money each year and this prove poor management.
So what can we do
We can put the valuation tools of assessing each government ministry
And we put reward systems the ministry with improvements in each government year will be rewarded handsomely
It's likewise people will work even hard like it's their bussness. And may be we can put and the other side of a coin (reward)risk of losing something though the reward might be enough to motivate the committment.
And those tools should be bias free
7. BUILDING KEY PARTNERSHIP WITH HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS, SCHOOLS, BUSSINESESS.
Collectively we can tackle the health issues as a team. And if these private organizations face difficulties government should interest and help whenever necessary.
So what do we need to ensure strong partnership
*If Possible we can reduce the taxes on the private health services providers organizations.
-because they help the government to ensure health service accessibility though they rely on business, still that can make them improve their technology/service.
8. ENGAGING WITH COMMUNITY THROUGH PUBLIC FORUMS, SURVEYS, AND COMMUNITY MEETING SO THE HEALTH DIALOGUE IS ESTABLISHED. et al_Tulane University of public health.
The community will be talking about health how to improve it what to do what to not and so on.
LASTLY BUT NOT LEAST, WE NEED A CONTINOUSLY IMPROVEMENT THAT WILL ENSURE SUSTAINABLE HEALTH SYSTEM. WHICH WILL PROVIDE US WITH QUALITY CARE, ACCESSABLE AND AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE SERVICES IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
AND IN THIS WE DON'T ONLY NEED THE GOVERNMENT EFFORTS, BUT ALSO THE PRIVATE SECTOR (NGOs) AND WE THE COMMUNITY MEMBERS.
