PM calls on Kimemia to resign
Prime Minister Raila Odinga has called on Francis Kimemia to resign as Head of Civil Service for meddling in politics.
Mr Odinga claimed the Civil Service boss has been involving himself in the political campaigns of Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Alliance.
Kenyans go to the polls on March 4, 2013 and opinion polls are indicating Prime Minister Odinga and Deputy Prime Minister Kenyatta are locked in a neck to neck fight for the top seat.
According to Mr Odinga, the Civil Service boss has been meeting various heads of the provincial administration to mobilise a campaign machinery for the Jubilee Alliance candidate.
In the alleged plan, members of the provincial administration are being ordered to hold peace campaigns in their respective jurisdictions, which according to Mr Odinga, is a pretext for mobilising support for Mr Kenyatta.
Mr Odinga made the claims on Thursday morning at Wilson airport. He set to hold rallies across Elgeyo-Marakwet county.
