The same problem kwa Bale, kwa formation ya Ancelotti anatakiwa awe provider kitu ambacho kinamuathiri sana awapo uwanjani kwasababu ya mchezo wake ni wa kukimbiza. Manager angekubali mfumo wa 4 - 4 - 2, ndio wachezaji kama James au Bale wangecheza kwa kukaa na mipira na kufunga magoli.

The debate surrounding the advantages of giving Odegaard his debut against Schalke has ended.

Ancelotti has not included him in his squad for the match and the Norwegian misses the chance to break the record for the youngest player to play in a Champions League match.

At 16 years and 83 days, he would have written his name in the history of the competition, beating Celestine Babayaro, who played his first match with Anderlecht at 16 years and 87 days.

The possibility of setting a new record fades away, along with everything that it would have brought with it in terms of image for the player and for the club, and likewise the associated marketing opportunities it could have generated.
