Blogger Robert Alai has been arrested for linking Deputy President William
Ruto and businessman Anthony Gichuru to the Lang'ata land grabbing saga.

Alai was summoned by the CID on Thursday where he recorded a statement and
was later locked up at Muthaiga police station.

He said on his Twitter account that he had reported to the CID headquarters
over the allegations.

Alai said he was being taken to Muthaiga police station "as directed by
(Serious Crime Unit Harrison) Meme".

"I presented myself to police at 9am. I am being held overnight despite
presenting myself after being called. This is funny," he wrote.

The controversial blogger said Anthony, husband to Citizen TV presenter Julie
Gichuru, went to see CID director Ndegwa Muhoro over the matter.

Muhoro could not be reached for comment.

Alai said last week that he had documents listing Anthony as one of the
owners of the Lang'ata Road Primary School playground, through Airport View
Housing Company.

"In a document in our possession, Tony is listed with one Harban Singh," he
claimed.

He published the story on his blog.

I believe it has more to do with Julie husband than Ruto. I remember her tweeting that this time they will settle in court.
