Ruto on BBC hard talk

I do not oppose Ruto cos of his ethnicity amigo. Now this is the problem we have in Kenya. One's political opinion is automatically tied to their ethnic background. It is hard being politically honest, lest u are viewed a tribalist.

I did not wholeheartedly support Raila in 2013, and I was involved in the campaigns for Jubilee in Karengata area in 2017.

Btw, l made no mention of Raila in my comment above. And no, Matiang'i and Amina do not hail from my neck of the woods, but I would support them. Tuju is a Luo like myself, but that isn't the reason why I would vote for him.

You can never be politically honest when your agenda is to block Ruto in the name of building bridges while destroying the existing ones,You now mention Tuju? Because he has embraced raila and calls him Baba? Wonders will never cease.

The mention of matiang'i and Amina is just a cover-up to fool people, but inside your heart you know where you stand.

Dude, I do not oppose Ruto cos he is a Kalenjin. I opposed Raila in 2017. My reasons for opposing Ruto are broader than tribal considerations. I cannot stoop that low.

Adios!!!

If Luos heavyweight, Raila, orengo, nyongo and the group can stoop that low,who are you not to? anyway you have only one vote, and you are not influential either.

Au revoir!!!

Your vexation with Raila. He is not the only stumbling block to Ruto's rise to the Presidency! Haven't u studied Uhuru's body language when it comes to this whole 2022 succession issue?

Well, Raila, Orengo, Nyongo etc do not hate Ruto cos he is a Kalenjin. It is politics, bro. Nothing personal. You are smarter than this, surely.

If Ruto will manage to mobilize support throughout Kenya without some sort of endorsements from the political bigwigs from each of the key political blocks in Kenya, then his political might is big indeed. But he is on his own. His political clout doesn't extend beyond the Southern Rift! He has been reduced to early campaigning, canvassing for support from every major politician, including Raila.

Ruto is the figurehead of corruption in Kenya, the opinion of too many Kenyans, from what I can deduce. That does not help his chances.

Anyway, Kenyans themselves will decide come 2022. You are not influential in any way to help his chances, any more than I am to stop him.
