Happy new year to all. This is my new year 2014 present. if it does reflect you then your friend or relatives or even colleague.

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR TANZANIANS 2014/15 ACADEMIC YEAR
Current collection of scholarships and fellowships is for Tanzanian students who wish to improve and upgrade their education further. Higher education now day has become an essential part for all the students worldwide. This list contains some scholarships for the Tanzanian students. These scholarships are offered at different levels of education starting from the undergraduate to research level degree for vast research opportunities.
These scholarships cover almost all streams of education. Students have a liberty to select any subject and scholarships according to their qualifications and the eligibility criteria of the scholarship.
Some of the below scholarships mentioned are fully funded while some of them are partial. This information would surely be useful for the Tanzanian students. Explore the list given below to be best benefited.
INSEAD Deepak and Sunita Gupta Endowed Scholarship for Developing Countries, 2014
INSEAD Business School offers MBA scholarship for students of developing countries. Scholarship up to €25,000 will be awarded to students with limited financial means. To be considered for this MBA scholarship, applicants must demonstrate financial need. The application deadline for Round 1 is 8 January 2014 and Round 2 applications will be open from 14 January 2014 till 31 January 2014.

CAS-TWAS President's Postgraduate Fellowship Programme in China, 2014
Applications are invited for CAS-TWAS President's Postgraduate Fellowship Programme from the citizens of developing countries other than China. These postgraduate fellowships are awarded up to 140 students per year for PhD study and research. Applicants must be maximum age of 35 years on 31 December 2014. Application deadline is 28th February 2014.

POGO-SCOR Visiting Fellowships for Applicants of Developing Countries, 2014
POGO and the Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR) are offering visiting research fellowships at centers in developing countries and countries with economies in transition. The fellowship program is open for developing countries scientists, technicians, graduate students (PhD) and postdoctoral fellow's centers in developing countries and countries with economies in transition. Email your application by 10th January 2014.

Intermediate Fellowships for Developing Countries in Public Health and Tropical Medicine, 2014
Wellcome Trust is offering research fellowships in Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Research should be aimed at understanding and improving public health and tropical medicine of local, national and global relevance. Fellows must be based primarily in a low- and middle-income country.Full application deadline is 4 July 2014.

Wellcome Trust International Engagement Awards for Research Applicants, 2014
Wellcome Trust is offering awards for research applicants for 2014 intake. The awards support public engagement projects and work that builds capacity for engagement with biomedical research in Sub-Saharan Africa, South-east Asia and South Asia.The application deadline is 18th April 2014.

Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) Fellows Program in Population and Health, 2014
Applications are invited for DHS Fellows Program in Population and Health available for university faculty. This DHS fellows program for 2014 will select four to six teams, based primarily on the merits of their research proposal and on the applicants' potential for building the capacity of their home university to use DHS data. January 20, 2014.

Open Society Disability Rights Scholarship Program, 2014
Open Society offers Disability Scholarship to disability rights advocates and lawyers for LLM study. Citizens of China, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mexico, Peru and Colombia can apply for this disability scholarship. The program does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, sex, religion, sexual orientation or disability. The application deadline is January 13, 2014.

Eldred – Waverley Scholarship for Sub-Saharan Africa at Linacre College in UK, 2014
The African Studies Centre is offering scholarship for Sub-Saharan Africa at Linacre College. Applicants must be applying for MSc African Studies at Linacre College, Oxford University. Scholarship includes 100% of university and college fees and a grant for living costs. Application for graduate study by 24th January 2014.

University of Manchester Equity and Merit Scholarships for Distance Learning in UK, 2014/15
The University of Manchester is invited applications for up to 6 scholarships for postgraduate study of Public Health, through an online distance learning course which starts in September 2014. Citizen of Uganda or Tanzania are eligible for this postgraduate scholarship. Six scholarships are offered which include tuition fees and the cost of required text books, grant to contribute to the costs of internet access. Application deadline is 20 January 2014.

Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders in USA, 2014
U.S. African Development Foundation and the U.S. State Department is funding training fellowship for the citizens of and residents in a sub-Saharan African country. Fellowship is awarded to participate in a 6-week leadership and mentoring program at a US institution. Washington fellows will have valuable access to internships and job opportunities in the private and public sectors.

International Students House Residential Scholarships for Developing Countries in UK, 2014
International Students House is offering a two years residential scholarship program for postgraduate students in London for the January 2014 intake. Scholarship provides free accommodation at ISH for up to a year and in exceptional circumstances up to three years. Other than in exceptional circumstances, the maximum award will be a grant or a loan of up to £1,000. The application deadline is December 31st, 2013.
US/Canada Grants for Students of Developing Countries, 2014/15
Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund is providing award for women applicants of
developing countries. The scholarship is for those women who Resides in the U.S. or Canada at the time she submits the application. The applicants should be 25 years old by December 31, 2013. The MMMF awards grants of approximately $12,000 each. Last date of submission is January 15, 2014.
Global Change Leaders Scholarship Program for Women from Developing Countries in Canada, 2014
The Coady International Institute St. Francis Xavier University is inviting global change leaders' scholarship program for seven weeks in Canada. Women applicants from developing countries are eligible for this scholarship. The Global Change Leaders program provides successful candidates with a full scholarship that includes tuition, travel, accommodations and meals. The online application for the 2014 program is now open and will close on January 17, 2014.
IMTFI's Call for Research Proposals for Developing Countries in USA, 2014/15
There is a call for researchers of developing countries by Institute for Money, Technology and Financial Inclusion School of Social Sciences, University of California, Irvine. The budget of the institute to be used for direct research expenses is up to US$20,000. Previous recipients are welcome to apply but new applicants will receive priority. Applicants from developing countries are eligible for this research proposal. The deadline for applications is December 16, 2013.

Julius Nyerere Masters Scholarships for Tanzanian Students at University of Edinburgh in UK, 2014
Three master scholarships are offered by the University Of Edinburgh for Tanzanian students in UK. The Scholarships will cover the full overseas tuition fee, living costs of £10,000 and a return flight from Tanzania to the UK. The scholarships will be provided for one academic year and these are for those students who live in Tanzania and who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for a postgraduate Master's programme of study at the University of Edinburgh. Last date of submitting application deadline is 1 April 2014.
Leverhulme-Royal Society Africa Award for Students from UK, Ghana and Tanzania, 2014
The Leverhulme Trust is financing research and training award for students of UK, Ghana and Tanzania. Applications are covering the following five identified national research priorities: agriculture (including animal health); water and sanitation; basic human health research (including medicinal chemistry); biodiversity (including medicinal plants and green chemistry) and energy (including renewables). Awards will cover a maximum amount of £60,000 per annum. The application deadline is 15 January 2014.

SCIFOR PhD Scholarships for Tanzanian Applicants, 2014
Science and Power in Participatory Forestry (SCIFOR) in association with University of Copenhagen, Denmark invites applications for 2 PhD scholarships for students of Tanzania. The scholarships will be for three years duration, and will commence on July 1, 2014. The deadline for submitting applications is January 10, 2014.

Afya Bora Consortium Fellowship in Global Health Leadership, 2014/15
The Afya Bora Consortium is accepting applications for 20 fellowships for the year 2014-15. These fellowships are available for pursuing one-year training program in 8 academic health centers, four in Africa and four in the USA. Applicants must be citizens of US, Kenya, Botswana, Uganda, or Tanzania. The last date for applying is December 10, 2013.

TGCL Postgraduate Scholarship at University of Dar es Salaam School of Law in Tanzania, 2014
The scholarship will be awarded in law at University of Dar es Sa laam School of Law in Tanzania. German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Foreign Office is funding limited number of LLM and PhD scholarship. The LLM scholarship covers a period of one year and the PhD scholarship a period of three years. The last date for submission of applications is 15 January 2014.

Dorothy Marchus Senesh Fellowships for Women from Developing Countries in USA, 2014/15
International Peace Research Association Foundation offers graduate fellowships for Women in the USA. These Fellowships are provided in the field of Peace and Development Studies. Every winner women will receive amount of $5,000 per year for two years for school expenses. The fellowships are available for pursuing graduate degree level. The application deadline is January 15, 2014.

Georg Forster Research Fellowship for Researchers from Developing Countries in Germany, 2014/15
The Humboldt Foundation is offering up to 80 Georg Forster Research Fellowships for postdoctoral researchers and experienced researchers annually and financed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and Co-financed by the European Union (EU) in the 7th Framework Programme. Applications can be submitted from 01.07.2013 until mid-2015 (exact date TBD).

Georg Forster Research Fellowship (HERMES) for Developing Countries in Germany, 2014
The Humboldt Foundation grants up to 80 Georg Forster Research Fellowships for postdoctoral researchers. Fellowships are available for periods of 6-24 months. The Scholarship amount per month is 2.650 €. This includes a mobility allowance and a contribution towards health and liability insurance. Applications are accepted from 01.07.2013 until mid 2015.

International Space University MSc Scholarship Program in France, 2014/15
These scholarships are available for MSc students who are unable to cover all of their tuition fees. International Space University is offering scholarships for the students from Europe, USA, Canada and developing countries. This financial aid covers a portion of applicants' fees. The deadline for applications is 15 March 2014.

The Distance Learner Online MPH Scholarship for International & Developing Country Students, 2014
The purpose of the merit-based Distance Learner Online MPH Scholarship is to help public health students pay for the costs of their education. Scholarships are available for pursuing master's degree level. Two scholarships are offered by OnlineMPHDegree.net. Total offer of these scholarships is $1000.00. The closing date of submitting application is January 15th, 2014.

Early Career Development Fellowship for Developing Countries Applicants in USA, 2015
This fellowship is available for early career development and continuing education for library and information science professionals. Applicants must have a qualifying degree in library or information science. The program is jointly funded by the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) and OCLC. Program sponsors select up to five individuals on annual basis. The acceptance of applications will be closed on February 14, 2014.
IDRC Doctoral Research Awards for Canadians and Developing Countries in Canada, 2014
IDRC offers research awards for students Canada and developing countries' for pursuing doctoral studies at a Canadian University. Approximately 20 to 25 awards are offered per competition. Candidates must be citizen or permanent resident of Canada, or a citizen of a developing country. The application deadline is April 2, 2014.
Development Scholarships for Developing Countries in Czech Republic, 2014/15
Applications for these scholarships are open to all students from developing countries and/or countries going through a process of political and economic transition. Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, the Faculty of Social Sciences is offering five partial scholarships for developing countries. The deadline for scholarship applications is 30th April 2014.

Marshal Papworth Scholarships for Developing Countries' Students in UK, 2014
Marshal Papworth Trust is offering scholarships for developing countries' students. MSc & MA scholarships vary in value from £14,500 to £21,500 depending on location and chosen university/College. The scholarships are designed to fund the majority of tuition fees, living expenses and travel costs. 24th March 2014 is application deadline.

Mathematics Research Fellowships for Developing Countries at ICTP in Italy, 2014
These visiting Fellowships are open to mathematicians for pursuing research programme at ICTP. Women are particularly encouraged to apply. Visiting Fellowships are open to mathematicians of any age and nationality. Fellowships are awarded for short visits to ICTP (typically between 1 to 3 months) during the period: 1 September 2014 – 31 August 2015 though longer visits (up to 12 months) are possible. The deadline for applications is 15 January 2014.
RNTC Fellowships for Developing Countries' Students in Netherlands, 2014/15
RNTC's Fellowships are available for professional journalists, programme-makers, broadcast trainers and managers. RNTC Fellowships are unlike NFP fellowships Partial: they cover the course fee (up to 50%), not the costs for travel and accommodation. The fellowships will be awarded on academic and professional merit. The deadlines for applications differ in each and every subject.
AFD -PSIA Student Scholarships in Development for African Students in France, 2014
Paris School of International Affairs of Sciences Po (PSIA) and the French Development Agency offer AFD- -PSIA student scholarships to study Master program in Development Practice or in International Development. Scholarship is offered for the entire length of study at PSIA on condition of sufficient academic performance (top 50% of class). Scholarship goes towards covering tuition fees. Application deadline is February 4th, 2014.
Africa Biosciences Challenge Fund (ABCF) Research Fellowships in Africa, 2014
Fellowships are available for pursuing MSc or PhD program. Candidates must be qualified in MSc or PhD in biosciences, agriculture or related subject. In exceptional cases we may consider applicants with a bachelor's degree. Good working knowledge of written and spoken English will be considered. Last date of submitting application is February 28[SUP]th[/SUP] 2014.
