Serikali ya Kenya yawapa vijana wabunifu hela wakamilishe prototype ya ventilator

Volunteers from Sonko Rescue Team, an NGO privately funded by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, fumigate a street to curb the spread of COVID-19 during curfew at a residential area in Nairobi.



 
There are already ventilators available. Why are we trying to reinvent the wheel? Copy paste reverse engineer it and mass produce it in Kenya.

I'm all for progress but this one does not sit right with me.

Most likely that's what will happen, but to avoid future legal battle, certain processes and lingo have to be involved.
 
This is really good news, even if they do not succeed on time, Kenya will have gained knowledge on how to construct cheap ventilator machines for our hospitals and we can use that to equip our hospitals and to export to the rest of the region.
After the coronavirus pandemic is over, Kenya will be in a better position to handle future pandemics.
a) Unilever has expanded their lifebuoy sanitizer gel production line by a factor of 4, meaning Kenya will start exporting sanitizers to the region once this pandemic is over.
b) Kemri will also export their rapid test kit to the region too.
c) If these young gallant men succeed, then Kenya will be exporting cheap and affordable ventilators to the region.
d) Kenya is currently making and exporting face masks to the region manufactured from our epz zones
e) Kenya has of late ramped up production of face shields for our doctors, nurses and clinical officers which will be exported to the region once the pandemic is over.

Yaani akili ya Mkenya ni ya Kuku kabisa, Kwaiyo in the midst of corona pandemic you are trying invent a Ventilator, something invented and developed centuries ago.
Besides, that can't be a Ventilator, ni takataka fulani tu inayohitaji multiple trials to be approved for medical use, msiwe wapumbavu huu sio muda wake. Why don't you order them from China?
