Sex Education... Start At The Age of Seven.

Children as young as seven will be taught the facts of life in compulsory sex education lessons.
Pupils aged five will prepare for the classes by learning about body parts and sex differences. More explicit material will be covered if it is raised by the youngsters.

Family campaigners are furious at the measures. However, ministers have yet to decide whether parents will be able to withdraw children from the classes, due to be introduced by 2010.

The reforms bring personal, social and health education on to the mandatory school curriculum alongside subjects such as maths and English.
As well as covering sex and relationships, primary and secondary schools will be under a duty to teach pupils about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
Unveiling the shake-up, Schools Minister Jim Knight blamed 'soap storylines and music videos' for increasing children's exposure to 'sexual imagery and sexual content'.

He said age-appropriate sex and relationships education from five onwards was needed to combat the 'earlier sexualisation' of youngsters.
But family campaigners described the lessons as 'too much, too young' and said they could have the opposite effect and encourage sexualisation.
They accused ministers of reneging on a promise to hold a full public consultation before accepting the conclusions of their sex education review group.

I think this is what you do once you have failed to prevent kids from viewing barrage of sex on TV.

I'm of the view that,this is all about moral decay!!The best way is to combat/curb things which leads to moral decay rather than that way herein which encourage pupils/students at earlier age to practice what they taught/got at school from the said curriculum once it comes into force later on.

A boy of 13 who raped his two younger sisters after watching a sex education film at school has been given three years youth custody.

The youngster's parents turned their son over to police after their daughters revealed what happened two years after the attacks.

He told police he 'wanted to see what sex felt like' after seeing the video, York Crown Court heard.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted rape.
The girls are now having counselling.

A Long Island PTA official has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child after police say she was caught half-naked in a car with a 13-year-old boy.

Joan Tuckruskye, 44, of Baldwin, N.Y., was found with the boy in the parking lot of Meadow Elementary School. When an officer approached the Nissan Pathfinder, neither was wearing pants, according to police.

"They were in the back seat," Nassau County Police Officer Michael Aronsen told ABCNews.com.

The boy's parents were called.

Endangering the welfare of a child is a misdemeanor. Aronsen said further charges were possible, but police only have enough information at this point for the one charge.

"If there was any kind of sex going on, there would be another charge," he said, adding that the investigation was ongoing.

Tuckruskye, he said, has not previously faced similar charges.

Police said the woman told investigators that she and the boy were kissing. The boy, police said, initially said he was 18 years old.

Tuckruskye, a mother of three, is in charge of fundraising for the Baldwin Middle School PTA. The PTA's recording secretary told Newsday that Tuckruskye appeared to be "very conscientious with school activities."

She has been released without bail. A message left at Tuckruskye's home was not immediately returned today.

Veteran Florida school teacher Adrienne Laflamme turns 61 in September. She may celebrate that birthday behind bars.

The 60-year-old long-time employee of the Brevard County School District faces 15 counts of unlawful sex with a minor after authorities arrested her and charged her with having sex several times with a 17-year-old student she taught while he was in custody at a juvenile detention center this spring.

On one occasion, according to a Palm Bay Police Department spokesman, the pair invited a 14-year-old to join them.

"This woman's actions are an absolute disgrace," Detective Jasmine Campbell said in a police department news release. "We have reason to believe there are other victims, and it's important that they come forward."

Detectives began investigating Laflamme after the teen's mother contacted police. Laflamme was assigned as a science teacher at the Brevard County Juvenile Detention Center and taught the 17-year-old inmate as a student in her class from the middle of April into May.
